Free for every author and publisher
Register a book
Registration is free and takes about ten minutes. You will need an email address you can open right now: we send one message to confirm it is you. Your email address is never published.
Read the label definitions first. Registering is a self-declaration: the registry does not verify it, and it is not a certification.
What you will be asked
- Your role: author, publisher, or an authorized representative of either. The registry does not verify this.
- The title, author name (as it appears on the book), year, and optionally the ISBN, edition and a link to the book’s page.
- The label for the text: Human Authored, AI Master Edited or AI Co-Authored.
- A plain-language statement of how AI was, or was not, used.
- The AI tools used, with the provider, plan or tier, and what each was used for.
- For cover art, illustrations, narration and translation: whether each is human-made, AI-assisted or AI-generated.
- Four confirmations, including that you have checked that each tool’s terms permit use of its output in your publication.
What happens next
- We check the form and email you a confirmation link, valid for 48 hours.
- When you open the link and confirm, the record is created and an ID such as
ATI-2026-000001-7KQ4is assigned. You also get a private link for withdrawing or correcting the record. - Put the label and ID on your copyright page or store listing and link readers to the record.
What is public
Everything you enter in the form is public and permanent, like an ISBN record, except your email address, which stays private (see Privacy). Do not include private information. A record is shown on its own page and can be found by its ID, its ISBN, or a title and author search.
Self-declared, not verified
The registry does not check your declaration and is not a certification. Its credibility comes from the record being public, dated and open to challenge: see how disputes work. A false declaration can be flagged, withdrawn or removed.
Changing or withdrawing a record
Use the private link you were given. You can correct the declaration or withdraw it at any time; changes are recorded in the record’s history, and a withdrawn record stays visible with the status “withdrawn”. Its ID is never reused. If you lose the link, you can request a new one by email.
